"Surviving These Tough Times"

Motivating Yourself and Others:  Setting the Stage for Success

We are all motivated.  We are motivated to do exactly what it is we are doing right now!  If we want a different response from ourselves or others we must "set the stage" or create an environment that will elicit the desired behavior.  Is it a challenge, recognition, accuracy or consistency that will lead to the desired outcome?  Are the unwanted behaviors being driven by a fear of losing control, making a mistake, facing social rejection or change?  Using the DiSC® profile you will learn what motivates you and others and the fears that drive your behaviors.

Putting Your Best Forward
Show Casing your Talent with Your Resume and while Interviewing

Great Resume Building and Interviewing Techniques:

Interviewers typically use behavioral-based interviewing techniques (past behavior as an indicator of future behavior).  As a result, you are asked how you handled a particular situation and the results.  You are often asked to explain your rationale behind your decision.  Questions like these are used to flush out such characteristics such as judgement, leadership abilities, people skills, temperament, work ethics and capabilities.

Dealing with Uncertainty

With today's economy and the uncertain job situation, it's really difficult to remain calm, sure of yourself, and even confident.  Learn to "get a grip" if you have a job or if you don't.

In this session you will learn:

Tips on what to do if you're employed, tips if you're not.  Discover self-limiting behaviors that could be immobilizing you and ways to deal with them.  Take charge and learn to work up a personal plan to deal with uncertainty to give you the confidence to move forward.  Do something about it and use the power of networking as a positive, proactive tool to move forward.

“There is no security on this earth;
 there is only opportunity.”
